Henry et Kip travaillent tous les deux dans la publicité et ont un vrai problème de logement. Au début, la seule chose qu'ils pouvaient se permettre était une petite chambre d'hôtel qui est démolie alors qu'ils dorment. Une amie leur propose de rester à son hôtel mais cet immeuble n'est réservé qu'aux femmes. Désespérés, ils se font passer pour des femmes, Hildegard et Buffy, afin de pouvoir louer une chambre dans cet hôtel
