Thank you Mr. Hanks for posting this video on line and making it available to fanatics of the Apollo era and the wonderful movie. This is a source of inspiration to me as a fellow film maker. My hat is off to you sir. R

Mr. Hanks, I grew up a gigantic fan of the US Space program (starting in kindergarten with the Apollo program). I remember my first grade teacher stopping us in class to pray for the safe return of the Apollo 13 crew during that mission. In fact, I also wanted to be an astronaut and am 'a rocket scientist'. I read "Lost Moon" before I knew it would become a movie. Even more important to me, I was part of a research crew who was flying the week you other members of the "Apollo 13" film crew took your first flight on the KC-135 "Vomit Comet". I know you don't remember us screaming at each other, pushing buttons, and chasing our 'free floater' test bed all around the airplane, but that day stood out as one of the best of my life. All of my dozen, or so, of my days on "The Vomit Comet" were incredible, but meeting all of your made your first flight the best one ever for me. Sadly, last year, during the floods that hit my hometown of Boulder, CO, our basement was severely flooded. We actually almost lost our home, but the things I most mourn losing (after our wedding photo album) was all of the things I had from my KC-135 flights, including the lab book each one of you from the "Apollo 13" cast and crew were kind enough to autograph for me. Thank you again for making this movie, and letting me be a very small part of the early stages of making it.

Hi, Tom. Peter Briggs, co-writer of the movie "Hellboy", here. I've been fascinated by the Space Programme since being a kid in Britain. I remember being in a room of adults who had been glued to the television to watch Apollo 11. They all fell asleep, and by the flickering light of the cathode ray tube, I alone got to see man touch down on the surface. Three years later, the Apollo 10 Command Module was on display at the Liverpool Show (alongside cases of moon rocks!) I was 6. I waited until nobody was looking, and ducked under the rope and climbed inside. For a good 5 minutes or so, I had that sucker to myself. Until somebody noticed me, and told me to get out. It was worth it. Incidentally, the first movie I ever saw at the cinema was "2001", which I know you also serve a fascination with. I was three. That's some cinematic baptism by fire. Alongside Gary Kurtz, my friend Ivor Powell (who produced Ridley Scott's first three movies) is the producer on my movie "Panzer 88". He also was the runner on "2001" alongside Robert Watts ,and has regaled me with some interesting stories. I hope we get to meet and talk about them someday!
