E! Special Features Philadelphia : video

We've added a new documentary to our videos : E! Special Features Philadelphia. It was posted by OrangTelorTheatre on Youtube.
This is a 20-minute documentary that includes extracts from the movie and interviews of Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, director Jonathan Demme and the producers of the movie. There's also some behind-the-scenes shots. And contrary to what the beginning of the video foreshadows, it is not in black in white.
Philadelphia was released in 1993 and soon became one of Tom Hanks's most famous movie pictures. It received five Oscar nominations, including Best Actor in a Leading Role that Tom Hanks won for the first time in his career. If you've never seen it, we'd like you to know that his acceptance speech is also available in our videos.

On January 2, 2012, Tom Hanks appeared in a short clip on The Rosie Show, Rosie O'Donnell's talk show. The episode was a tribute to Penny Marshall during which they reviewed her acting and directing career. As you can see in the Collaborations section, Penny Marshall directed Tom Hanks in Big and A League of Their Own. The clip from The Rosie Show is now available in our videos.
On March 10, 2012, Tom Hanks showed up with an Oscar during Jonah Hill's monologue on Saturday Night Live. Jonah Hill had been nominated for an Oscar for his performance in Moneyball but lost. Tom Hanks praised him for his realization and joked about letting Oscar go to his head. You can also watch it in our videos.

Tom Hanks appeared on The Today Show this morning for its 60th anniversary and he actually wheeled out an enormous cake in front of anchors past and present. Then he sat down with Al Roker, Ann Curry, Matt Lauer and Samantha Guthrie to talk about his new movie Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close and his recollection of September-11. They also showed a clip from 1987 where Tom Hanks was interviewed about his movie Dragnet.
