Joining Forces PSAs narrated by Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks, Oprah Winfrey and Steven Spielberg have teamed up to film three new Public Service Announcements to support Joining Forces, a comprehensive national initiative to mobilize all sectors of society to give the American service members and their families the opportunities and support they have earned.

 

Each PSA released showcases the story of an American military family and highlight the daily struggles they face with their loved ones overseas.

Tom Hanks nominated at the People's Choice Awards

It's time to show you like Tom Hanks and his work ! Indeed, Tom Hanks is nominated in two categories for the 2012 People's Choice Awards and you can start voting today.

He is nominated in the category Favorite Movie Icon, along with other movie stars such as Robert DeNiro, Morgan Freeman, George Clooney or Kevin Spacey.
His second nomination is for Favorite TV Guest Star for his appearance on the show 30 Rock in April 2011. If you haven't see it yet, you can watch his appearance  in our videos.

Those are his 10th and 11th nominations for a People Choice's Awards and he's already won 7 trophies in the past. But he hasn't won any since 2004... You can vote as many times as you want, so keep voting again and again to make win this year !

9/11 : two short films narrated by Tom Hanks

As we're getting closer to the 10-Year Anniversary of the tragic events of 9/11, two documentary short films narrated by Tom Hanks have been released by Eyepop Productions. They will be presented at the Newseum in Washington, DC as part of the 10-Year Anniversary event commemorating the 9/11 attacks. You can watch both videos by clicking on the respective thumbnails.
The first one, about the rebuilding of the World Trade Center site, is called Rebuild.

 

The second short film, called Boatlift, is about the remarkable sea evacuation that occurred on September 11th, the largest of its kind ever as nearly 500,000 people trapped on Manhattan Island were evacuated by boat in nine hours.

 

Both short films are directed and produced by Eddie Rosenstein, Rick Velleu and Road2Resilence
