Tom Hanks attended Elie Wiesel Foundation's 2012 Arts For Humanity Gala on October 17, 2012. Indeed, he was honored for his consistent thoughtfulness and concern with his charitable endeavors and his support of many charities over the years. You can find some photos of the evening in our gallery.

On September 23, Game Change won four of the seven categories the television movie was nominated for at the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards :
  • Outstanding Miniseries or Made for Television Movie
  • Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie (Julianne Moore)
  • Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special (Jay Roach)
  • Outstanding Writing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special (Danny Strong)

It had already won the Emmy for Outstanding Casting for A Miniseries, Movie or A Special at the Creative Emmy Awards on September 16th.

Tom Hanks, executive producer, and the team being Game Change accepted the award for Outstanding Miniseries or Made for Television Movie. 22nd Annual Simply Shakespeare : photos

Last night, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson hosted the 22nd Annual Simply Shakespeare and led the staged-reading of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Other participants included Billy Crystal, William Shatner, Martin Short, Topher Grace, Gillian Jacobs, Eddie Redmayne, Cedric the Entertainer, Paul Dooley, Olivia Thirlby and Alan Tudyk. We've added photos of the event to our gallery.


The 22nd Annual Simply Shakespeare Celebrity Reading raised money for the Shakespeare Centre Los Angeles, an organization which creates literary programs to help impoverished students.
