Cloud Atlas : now in theaters!

October 26, 2012 - 0 comment

Cloud Atlas is hitting the big screen today in the United States and Canada!

The movie is based on David Mitchel's novel and the adaptation has been written by The Wachowskis (The Matrix) and Tom Tykwer, who are also directing this epic picture. The impressive cast includes Tom Hanks, Susan Sarandon, Jim Sturgess, Ben Whishaw, Hugh Grant, Hugo Weaving, Bae Doona and Jim Broadbent. And all of them play multiple characters: one in each story.
If you live in Australia, you'll have to wait until February 21, 2013 and February 22, if you are in the United Kingdom...

The movie consists of six nested stories that take us from the remote South Pacific in the nineteenth century to a distant, post-apocalyptic future. Each tale is revealed to be a story that is read (or watched) by the main character in the next. This novel is an epic story of humankind in which the actions and consequences of our lives impact one another throughout the past, present and future as one soul is shaped from a murderer into a savior and a single act of kindness ripples out for centuries to inspire a revolution.

You can take a look at the movie stills, posters, and shooting photos of the movie in the gallery. We've got trailers and TV spots, clips, making-ofs, movie premiere videos and press junket interviews in our videos. You can also read press articles about the movie and several Tom Hanks's interviews.

Electric City will premiere on July 17

July 06, 2012 - 0 comment

It all started in October 2010. Almost two years ago. It was announced that Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman were working on a brand new groundbreaking project, Electric City, which Tom Hanks conceived, helped write and for which he will lend his voice to the main character. The cast also features Jeanne Tripplehorn, Holland Taylor (Bosom Buddies), Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Antoon, Chris Parnell, Paul Scheer, June Diane Raphael and Georg Stanford Brown.

Electric City is an animated sci-fi series that will be shown exclusively on Yahoo Screen. It is a 90-minute action adventure series split into twenty 5-7 minute episodes which will offer a view of the future civilization, focusing on socially conscious themes like energy consumption, the freedom of information and crime and punishment.
The first ten episodes will be available on Yahoo! Screen on July 17 with the remainder due out July 18 and July 19. You can watch the trailer by clicking on the image below.

But it's more than a webseries. It is an immersive digital experience as the story will be told via digital, social, mobile and gaming media including a 3D map and behind-the-scenes footage of the cast.
It has already started. Tapjoint.com blends the feeling of a mysterious, physical space with the digital immediacy of the web. Where a legion of devoted followers cracks codes, unlocks clues, and pieces together all the elements of a traditional trailer, but in a non-linear, interactive, and communal space. Here's a video explaining the experience.
