March 24, 2009

Sony Pictures revealed a new featurette about Angels & Demons, entitled Science vs. Religion. You can find the HD-quality featurette in the video archive.

Yahoo also unveiled another 8-minute video, about the collaboration between Tom Hanks & Ron Howard. The interview is from Tom Hanks's visit at the CERN. It also features images from the movie and the shooting.

Mara Manus, Executive Director of The Film Society of Lincoln Center, announced the lineup of presenters for the 36th Gala Tribute honoring Tom Hanks on April 27, 2009.
The presentation of the award will be in the Starr Theater with tributes by writer/director Nora Ephron, actress Sally Field, director Ron Howard, writer/director Mike Nichols, actress Julia Roberts, writer/director John Patrick Shanley and director Robert Zemeckis. More guests are yet to be announced.

 USA Today
revealed the first movie stills of the movie Where the Wild Things Are, a movie produced by Tom Hanks's company which tells the story of Max, a head-strong young boy who leaves home after having a fight with his mother -- only to find himself in a mysterious forest bordering a vast sea. Misunderstood and rebellious, Max sets sail to the land of the Wild Things, where mischief reigns.

And still about Tom Hanks's productions, Mark Bomback has apparently been set to adapt Macintyre's book Agent Zigzag. It tells the story of Edward Arnold Chapman, a career criminal who was trained by the Nazis to be a spy during WWII. On a mission to sabotage an airplane factory in England, he contacted the Brits and began a life as a double agent.
The movie will be produced by Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman for Playtone, as well as New Line.
