Larry Crowne : first still & new synopsis

November 04, 2010

The very first still for Tom Hanks's movie Larry Crowne has been revealed. You can see a larger version in our gallery by clicking on the image below.

A new and "official" synopsis has been revealed as well. It's rather close from the one we gave you in our news from October 29.

When appealing everyman Larry Crowne is inexplicably fired from his job as a big box store clerk, he realizes it’s time for some meaningful change in his life. Deeply in debt and without direction, he returns to college where he befriends a group of scooter-riding students and eventually develops a real affection for his beautiful speech class instructor, Mercedes Tainot.
Charming and smart, Larry Crowne reminds us of life’s small surprises. Sometimes clouds really do have a silver lining. It’s also about the power of new beginnings like the time Larry Crowne, an ordinary man with a gentle heart, was forced to downsize his world…and ended up expanding his life.

On a picture of the synopsis we could read "US release via Universal, August 12, 2011"; you may read that news about the release date on the Internet. However Universal confirmed to Collider.com that the release date is still July 1, 2011 for the United States.
