The Three Minute Talk Show : info & video
January 29, 2011
Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman have launched a new Web-only project called The Three Minute Talk Show. It runs on LStudio.com, the content arm of automaker Lexus. Each segment (or episode) actually runs about six minutes, features Barry Sobel as host, Fred Willard as sidekick and Ben Lee as bandleader.
Created exclusively for the web, the series will have all the ingredients of a traditional talk show, except it will be condensed. In other words, it's a kind of high-speed version of a traditional talk show.
The questions is : is it a parody or not ? It seems like nobody can really make up their mind.
Tom Hanks was the guest in the first episode (followed by Bryan Cranston in the second episode). We've added the short interview to our archives.
In this video you can see the very first clip from Tom Hanks's upcoming movie Larry Crowne. It features Tom Hanks as Larry Crowne on a scooter, leaving his house and passing next to his neighbor, Lamarr Johnson, played by Cedric the Entertainer.
You can watch the first two episodes on LStudio. New episodes will be posted each Wednesday, and future guests are scheduled to include Jon Cryer, Johnny Knoxville, Stephen Moyer, Wilmer Valderrama, Ginnifer Goodwin, Cedric the Entertainer, Joe Jonas and Mike O'Malley.
