Playtone's partners Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman are developing a romantic comedy that will exploit the song catalogue of singer/songwriter Barry Manilow. Manilow's manager, Garry Kief, will also produce. The film is described by Variety as "a character-driven romantic comedy with intersecting storylines involving Manilow fans who are all arriving in Las Vegas on a weekend where Manilow will headline at the Mandalay Bay". Though it deals with music, it's said the idea for the film is closer in tone to Love Actually than to Mamma Mia!.

According to Gordon Mueller, the National WWII Museum's president and chief executive officer, Tom Hanks will attend the November 6 event that will launch a three-day celebration for the 70,000-square-foot expansion.

A video of Tom Hanks discussing Charlie Wilson's War for Empire Magazine has been added to the Documentaries section of the video archives.

In the gallery, we've added more than 900 photos, of the 1999, 2000 and 2001 events. You can click on each thumbnail to access the respective category.
