Tom Hanks made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live yesterday evening to welcome Justin Timberlake into the Five-Timers Club, a fraternity for the show's most prolific hosts, during a star-studded monologue on this weekend's episode. You can watch it in our videos.

Other five-timers and show favorites such as Steve Martin, Martin Short, Paul Simon, Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd appeared to properly honor Timberlake into the club.
The Five-Timers Club was first mentioned on December 8, 1990 during Tom Hanks's opening monologue, who was then joining the club. So far, Tom Hanks has hosted eight episodes of Saturday Night Live. His first hosted episode was on 1985 and his most recent was on May 2006.

We also added an old extract from a previous episode which aired in December 2012. During his Christmas song monologue, Martin Short Short tried to kiss Kristen Wiig, Jimmy Fallon, Tom Hanks, Tina Fey and Samuel L. Jackson.
