Tom Hanks stopped by several talk shows lately to discuss his Broadway debut in Lucky Guy and his Tony nomination for his portrayal of Mike McAlary. In the course of several days, he was on CBS This Morning, Morning Joe and Charlie Rose. You can watch all three interviews in our videos, as well as a short clip of Tom hanks stopping by the control room of the show Morning Joe.

 

Tom Hanks also discussed Nora Ephron, being a grandfather, the Reader's Digest's poll about the most trusted person in America and the miniseries he made honoring the veterans. Tom Hanks was joined by co-star Courtney B. Vance, director George C. Wolfe and Jacob Bernstein, son of Nora Ephron, for the interview with Charlie Rose.

 

Tom Hanks's surprise visit to David Letterman

On May 14, Tom Hanks was a guest on the Late Show with David Letterman and we had added the interview to our videos. But a couple of days after his scheduled visit, Tom Hanks made an unannounced visit to the Ed Sullivan Theater and interrupted David Letterman during his monologue. Why? You can watch the video to find out.

 

It is not the first time, Tom Hanks paid a visit to David Letterman without being listed as a guest. He had done the same in October 2009 when David Letterman tried that red button on his desk, which made Tom Hanks come running. You can watch the clip in our videos as well.

Tom Hanks was a guest on The Late Show with David Letterman on May 14th. He discussed the play Lucky Guy, that he performs on Broadway until July 3. He told David Letterman he had to take steroids to cure a nasty cold while having to keep going on stage every night. You can watch the 25-minute interview in our videos.

 

David Letterman also mentioned a poll made by Reader's Digest which revealed that Tom Hanks is the most trusted person in the United States. Tom Hanks gave his opinion regarding Sandra Bullock, Denzel Washington, Meryl Streep, Maya Angelou, Steven Spielberg, Bill Gates, Alex Trebek, Melinda Gates and Julia Roberts, who complete the Top Ten of the poll.
