Film Society of Lincoln Center's Award
April 28, 2009
Yesterday night, Tom Hanks was honoured at New York's Lincoln Center with the Film Society's 36th Annual Gala, receiving the society's Chaplin Prize for his entire career, following Alfred Hitchcock, Elizabeth Taylor, Robert Altman, Martin Scorsese, Diane Keaton and Meryl Streep. Let's just say : congratulations Mr. Hanks !
Steven Spielberg, Sally Field, Charlize Theron, Julia Roberts, Ron Howard, Robert Zemeckis, Nora Ephron, Mike Nichols and Bruce Springsteen were among the A-listers who turned out to salute him during a dinner and awards ceremony which was not broadcasted on TV.
No surprise, you can find photos of the event in the gallery.
Medias, like Entertainment Tonight, Associated Press or Access Hollywood, were there and got to interview the guests and the honoree. Three videos of the event have been added to the event section of the video archives.
And finally, The Lincoln Center's magazine Film Comment obviously featured an article about Tom Hanks. We've added it to the magazine scans.

Hey :D It\'s so great to hear Tom get the award! Totally deserved.
Anyway, do you guys have the whole event?
Cos darn, I really wanna watch it! And ... it\'s on the FLV file, the videos. Is there any chance it can be put on Quicktime or WMV?
