Electric City : now available on Yahoo! Screen

July 21, 2012

Eight years to make it happen and it is now online ! The 20 episodes of Tom Hanks's animated webseries, Electric City, are now available on Yahoo! Screen in English, French and Spanish. The series highlights various social and political issues such as, energy consumption, freedom of information or authority.

Tom Hanks came up with the idea for the distinctive series about eight years ago and announced his plan to move ahead with the idea in September of 2010.
Not only did he create the series in collaboration with Playtone and Reliance Big Entertainment, but he also voices the show's central character, Cleveland Carr, a former police officer charged with maintaining order in the drab city.

On Yahoo’s home base for the web series, viewers can navigate a 3D map, play casual games, watch behind-the-scenes clips, discover characters’ back-stories, join discussions and post commentary on their social networks.
In addition to the interactive Yahoo portal, Jump Games has released an Electric City The Revolt mobile app for Android and iOS in which users can play a RPG, read digital comic books and get exclusive content.
